Dear Folks of the World,
“To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there.” Kofi Atta Annan.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your crony, sire, grandfather and hero Kofi Atta Annan, who was a true leader of flora and fauna. Kofi Atta Annan was a Ghanaian diplomat who served as the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations, from January 1997 to December 2006. Annan and the UN were the co-recipients of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize. The Madiba Youth Organisation has been much grieved to learn about his death. Africa has lost an outstanding person and a prominent political figure.
The hero’s resolve, courage and devotion to his continent was and will continue to be an example of strong leadership and patriotism for all of us. In this hour of deep sorrow, we wish you strength and fortitude.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the people of Africa. Please stomach, folks of Ghana and Africa, the assurance of our highest esteem.
The writer, Adam Sibuyi, is the executive director Madiba youth Organization.
