Polygon Logistics becomes the seventh company admitted to the NSE Ibuka program
Polygon Logistics, a company that was co-founded by a husband and his wife, has joined the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) incubator program, Ibuka.
A statement from the bourse on May 3 confirmed Polygon Logistics as the seventh company to be admitted to the incubator program.
NSE said Polygon Logistics joined following a rigorous evaluation and vetting process, a similar one that has been undertaken for the six other companies on the acceleration program.
“This enrolment is a key milestone and will commence Polygon Logistics Limited next level of growth across its various business segments and markets, ” said NSE chief executive Geoffrey Odundo.
Polygon Logistics Managing Director Benjamin Amolo said, ““Our admission to the Ibuka Program will spur our growth and expansion as well as profile our business to a wide spectrum of local and international investors and clients locally and globally.”
The firm was started in 2010 by Amolo and his wife Dorothy Atieno, who is now a Director at the firm.
Polygon Logistics offers a wide range of logistical solutions to institutional and retail clients in the region, focusing on clearing and forwarding imports and exports shipments as well as air charter flight services and airline representation.
The Ibuka program is aimed at growing visibility whilst enhancing brand recognition and business opportunities among hostee companies.
It also assists in inculcating improved corporatization, develop capabilities to access capital markets as well as provide a roadmap to long term corporate sustainability.
“We are focused on supporting business growth through a well-structured program aimed at preparing companies to list or access various capital options offered in the market in line with their strategic priorities,” said Odundo.
Since inception, the program has attracted six companies across various sectors.
