Sinizuge kwa hela

Ya mgambo imeshalia,nasema kwa ujeuri

Ili muweze yasikia,na muyapime kadiri

Vitisho sitahofia,nasimama kijasiri

Kura yangu naibana, mpaka tarehe nane

Kura yangu ni silaha, zinguo la wafisadi

Naibana kwa madaha, muhimu sana hii kadi

Kuitunza yangu staha,ndio yangu itikadi

Kura yangu naibana,mpaka tarehe nane

Wamejitosa kwa wingi, mezagaa kama siafu

Ahadi nazo kwa wingi, wazitoa maradufu

Tushaahidiwa mengi, mikufu hata sarafu

Kura yangu naibana,mpaka tarehe nane

Wengi wao wana hila, kutugawa kwa makundi

Mesheheni ukabila,ni wabaya kama bundi

Usiasi yako mila, kwa kuwapa hao ushindi

Kura yangu naibana,mpaka tarehe nane

Wameshazipanga njama,kununua yako kadi

Waepuke siyo wema,twawajua tangu jadi

Mkenya simama wima, kura yako si inadi

Kura yangu naibana,mpaka tarehe nane

Sikimbilie tu hela, pima kwanza sera zao

Usizugwe tu kwa hela, chunguza malengo yao

Wakikuhonga kwa hela,sikubali  mambo yao

Kura yangu naibana,mpaka tarehe nane

Kura yako haki yako, siuze kwa mia moja

Itunze ni mali yako,na ije kukupa tija

Na ulinda utu wako, wepukane na vioja

Kura yangu naibana,mpaka tarehe nane

Ya muhimu nishanena,yanipasa kuondoka

Najua yana maana,jukumu lako kuyashika

Awabariki Maulana,awaepushe mashaka

Kura yangu naibana,mpaka tarehe nane

Ayieko jakoyo

Ayieko Jakoyo is a seasoned writer and a poet in both English and Kiswahili(Ushairi). Having learnt in a rural or rather village primary and secondary school, I took my time to interact with various people in the society based on age and gender. My writing has been shaped by the daily occurances in the typical African society My literary star was lit and brightened by the famous poet Robert Frost. I loved his wordplay and how he addressed concrete issues through poetry. I always lived to write and sell out as he did in his time. I deeply got into writing when my article "Girl child's plea" did well in the 2009 National music festival for secondary schools. When I joined The university of Eldoret, I joined the C. O. F. F. E. E which is an association for the lovers of art and the BRIDGE campus magazine. Since then my poetry is doing well on various platforms. I have also joined jubilant stewards of Africa and I am looking forward to give my readers the best. Check my wordpress, sebbyjakoyo.wordpress.com for more articles.
