H.E Cornel Rasanga Amoth has today assured the Siaya people of his continued commitment to the war against corruption in line with the national government’s commitment against the vice.
The county chief said that he is working with all relevant authorities to ensure that corruption is weeded out.
The Governor who was speaking today in Ugunja Constituency, Sidindi Ward, Umala village at a funeral of young Nick Mundany further asked the church to take centre role in advocating for societal uprightness.
Ugunja MP Hon. Opiyo Wandayi also in the forum called for aggressiveness in the fight against corruption. “We must deal with the cancer of corruption, ” said Wandayi. The PAC chair emphasized that with clear roadmap on sealing the loopholes of corruption, the county will save alot of resources that can be utilized for development.
The Sidindi MCA Hon. Joseph Wandera registered his appreciation to governor rasanga for initiating a number of development projects in Sidindi. He additionally requested the county government to replace and repair the water pipes that were destroyed during the construction of Sidindi-Sigalagala road.
Governor Rasanga was accompanied by the new Chief of Staff Mr. Auscar Odhiambo Wambiya, Mr. Jerry William Ochieng, Director of Communication, and Mr. Leakey Abuoro the Political Advisor to the governor.
